300 dpi is 4 times faster than 600 dpi, but I guess I have to stick to 600 dpi due to footnotes being small.

color is 50% slower than grayscale. Is it worth it? The only color in the whole book is that red text, red lines, red graphs.

It'll take around 15 hours to scan all pages in 600 dpi.... or around 4 hours in 300 dpi.

Changed the host, postimage resized both scans, reuploaded in file hosting to prevent images from being resized.

Found about ClearScan and the conclusion is that 600 dpi is going to be a waste of time, as well as making it in color.

ClearScan converts scanned text to vectorized PDF and the quality is very good at 300 dpi, the difference in font's smoothness at 600 dpi is negligible.
