FileHippo App Manager [Safe?]

I have been using this for quite a while. At some point, they started displaying ads. My question is this software [still] safe? I thought I saw a PUP from ESET Smart Security about some "candy.A" variant [or some words to that effect].

Virustool says the installer and the program is okay.
Installer https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/e6d56.../analysis/ Program https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/67918.../analysis/ I have always used File Hippo as my main source for programs etc.. It's more than likely that they needed some extra revenue so they had input some ads. |
