Construction and management simulations

Hi,

I wonder if you enjoy playing games like RimWorld, Banished, Depraved or Factorio and if yes, what game do you prefer?

While looking up some info, I found this:

My initial feeling is that I enjoy playing RimWorld more than Banished, although Banished has the better graphics quality.
There seems to be a steep learning curve for each of the games, but this genre is a lot of fun in general.

Got any favourite and if yes, which one and why?

Bossing people from SimCity to The Sims? The Settlers (v.2) intrigued me a lot.

Returning to a PC near you, after 25 years: https://www.ubisoft.com/en-gb/game/the-settlers/

Game started with a production and traffic management system, with more advanced buildings requiring more space, and connect-the-dots style roads. It challenge players both to grow population, manage production, jobs, and goods transport. One interesting thing is the "carriers" stay on road sections and transport stuff from point A to B; a woodchopper won't carry the logs to the saw mill, some carrier (or many, depending on how long is the path,) will do. This makes planning ahead an important step but impossible until you play the game a few times to learn the level map and game mechanics.
