Does anybody can help with config in BitTorrent software

I have net 15Mbits speed and I'm using BitTorrent software to download.

I would like to know what config is good to download and upload (of course) in this software?

If possible a explanation about it.

IMO, use uTorrent 2.2.1 rather than BitTorrent.

Disable uTorrent from auto-updating.

Set your upload to 100 and your download to 0 (Zero).

If you intend uploading as well as downloading, set both to 0 (Zero).

Log into your router and enable a range for portforwarding (Adding your ipv4).

Disable randomize port each start.

Use one of your port forwarded ranges in the Random port option.

Set your seeding goal to to a minimum of 2.0 (200).

Minimum seeding time to 0 (Zero).

Enable UPnP port mapping, Enable NAT-PMP port mapping and Add Windows firewall exception.

If you can afford it, invest in either a VPN, Server Provider or Seedbox Provider. Check their T&C's r.e. Keeping your credentials very very secure.

Btw... The port range must be 5000-6000: some ISP's might block torrent ports but these one are safe for bitorrent

That advice has been obsolete for the best part of a decade, if not longer.

In the early days--the very early days when there was only one torrent client which used hard coded port numbers from 6881 to 6889--some ISPs did block those ports.

Configurable ranges were added to torrent clients very shortly after. Given that it has been ten years or so since then it is unlikely that any ISP anywhere is still blocking any ports.

Even then it didn't stop anyone torrenting since only half of your connections are initiated by peers (via "the" port). The other half of your connections are initiated by you via a port chosen at random by your OS (a different one for each connection).

Just leave your port number at whatever the last random selection selected. It will be fine.
