Far Cry New Dawn

Howdy,
Until I can afford the new PC build, I am playing Far Cry New Dawn on the laptop. It runs slow, and I had to move everything to low, but it is playable.

The problem is the Thomas Rush mission. I get about half way through and he drives into a left hand side of the road, and the mission fails because he is stuck and can not go further.

I have tried multiple times. I can do all the side missions with out a problem. But I can not advance in the game due to this one problem.

Any thoughts??

An update.
I moved the FPS down to 30 and to test, I also got the MrAntiFun trainer to see if it helped (no, it didn't). What is happening is that the characters you are suppose to shoot do not spawn or spawn really late and the whole screen will either lag or freeze for a moment. Since you do not kill them, the program thinks you just missed and...

I did manage to get it a little further in the scenario, but it just did the same thing a little further down the road at the next stop in the game.

I am now looking at some of the save data to see if there is a flag I can set to get past this point in the game.

Just really frustrating.

not tested this save game my self but I have recently done this to jump a bugged level on DNF, good method for every game with selectable chapters.
so just overwrite your save game, jump past the buggy level and continue playing.
