Hostname not found
#1
I am getting this message almost every time I try to download a torrent on the .torify.net site using the tor browser: Error 'hostname not found' while downloading URL

Using alternate threads for that same torrent (the 720p version instead of the standard def version) does NOT help; they all produce the same error message.

What does this mean and is there anything I can do about it on my side? If there's nothing I can do on my side, is there anything you can do on your side? If there is, could you please do it?

As for the regular tpb site, it's been two weeks now since it last worked. What's going on there? (Apparently it is forbidden to ask how much longer it is going to be so I won't ask but I hope I can be forgiven for wondering what's happening.)

This is 10 pages worth of search results for this on the forum.

Which forum? I've tried a search on "hostname not found" and got 5 or 6 threads, NONE of which had anything about the problem I've described here.

I have searched for "tor magnet" (with the quotes) in both the basic search and advanced search and the only thread that gets returned is this one.

Are you pranking me?

Sorry Jerry, I tried it without the quotes and now I'm getting lots of results. I apologize for suggesting you were messing with me. I'm new here and I tend to take things too literally sometimes. Now I've got 11 pages of search results to sort through....

Hover over "GET THIS TORRENT" right click then copy link location and put it in your torrent client.

Thank you VERY MUCH, Contrail! As luck would have it, I finally managed to figure the problem out myself (after failing to find it in the suggested search) but your answer would have saved the day for me if I hadn't!

Thanks again!
