How do I make my own floor plan?

Mainly floor plan is the scale illustration of a room or suite when viewed from above and used mainly for planning the efficient use and layout of facilities. Floor plans include interior walls, staircases and display openings, as well as other details in the building. There are two easy options to create your own house plan. Either start from scratch and draw up your plan in a floor plan software.

It's a Free (open sourced) CAD program for 2D CAD design. I've never used it yet, but I think it's great for schematics and floor plans. EDIT: https://www.freecad.org/ Like Librecad, it's also a free (open sourced, but still free) CAD program, but with emphasis to 3D design. I think it's also great when used in conjunction with LibreCad.

For quick and simple, I use Microsoft VISIO which is a great tool for creating any visual presentation that can be scaled and printed out.

Personally I use(d) SketchUp. Pretty easy to work with and has a lot of options!
