How do you mess it up this bad?

Honestly, I could go to any random bar in america on a thursday night, pick the three funniest people there and it would have been better than this....whatever you'd call this. [Image: 8tp3b0.jpg]

Cool opinion. Definitely not tired and repetitive. Definitely not a conversation I'm sick of seeing on these boards.

I know there is a large contingent of the fandom that would love to see the IP die when it's creators do, but I'm not one of them. One day Joel/Mike/Kevin/Bill/Trace/etc will be gone and then what? The ire directed at the Jonah/Emily crew and Sean/Conor when they've tried stuff is both short-sighted and very annoying

Exactly.  And honestly, I used to really think it was MKB or bust, but then Bridget and Mary Jo pretty much surpassed them in average quality to me, and Janet Varney and Cole Stratton were enjoyable, I actually enjoy the cast of the current MST (although I think the writing has a "too many cooks in the kitchen" quality sometimes).  It's worth giving the various teams a shot.

I figure, look at the advancing age of the original riffers.  I'm sure they're planning on retirement sooner or later.  As it is, I don't see Kevin's name on the writing credits all that often these days.  So we can either enjoy the next generation carrying the torch (and I do think it's a torch worth carrying) or we can let it die.  For what it's worth, I think we should keep the spirit alive, whether it's Rifftrax without MKB, or MST beyond Joel.  There will never be a shortage of crappy movies, both vintage and modern, and I think it's good to give them some appreciation.

I will say the first Netflix season is nearly unwatchable, but not because of any issue with the cast or quality of jokes - there's just TOO MANY jokes. It was exhausting. If the film had 2 seconds of silence they'd jam 3 jokes into it. I'm super happy they ironed that out after one season and it's been enjoyable since then.

Mostly I'm just irritated now by the most recent Kickstarter. This used to be a show made by a few folks on a shoestring budget, and now they want something like $7million to make a few episodes? Insane. Go back to basics. We don't need multiple teams of riffers for a single season, we don't need green screen CGI stuff, we just need some dudes poking fun at a movie. They really need to scale back.

Just in my opinion, Doctor Mordred was one of the most hilarious episodes of any season ever. Right up there with, Riding With Death.

I think Season 11 improved a good bit just after the first few episodes. I won't say it was an excellent season, but Cry Wilderness is a classic.

Agreed completely on the recent Kickstarter, though. I expect Joel will take some time to reasses and lick his wounds from that one and give it another shot in a year or two. Hopefully it goes better next time.

Meh. I like all MST3K. Even saw them live twice. Granted the OG cast are still the best.

Here's a link to (mostly) 2160p Rifftrax I've made.

Need some more seeders till TGx is back up or TPB admin resets my password so I can upload again.
