This is my method, it uses only open source software.
If you have the CD/DVD but not a .iso file, do this to get the .iso:
1- install the free easy burner: https://www.softpedia.com/get/CD-DVD-Tool...rner.shtml
2-put the CD in your drive, and use the copy CD tool to make a .iso file from your disc.
If you have the .iso (often comes with torrents):
1-download and install the pismo file mount audit package: https://www.pismotechnic.com/download/
2-right click your .iso and click "mount" (not quick mount)
3-select a desired drive letter, click "mount"
What this does is creates a virtual drive, and your software won't be able to tell the difference between this and physically having the CD in your drive.
