Learning a programming language

You can always try out python, the reason so many people like it is that it has less rules that require you to remember and the programs in general are easier to read and write Smile. I would recommend reading this book.

I've heard good things about Delphi.

If you're using GNU/Linux, the sky's the limit; it comes packed with most free programming languages. Windows doesn't do that.

If you're going to learn a programming language, it would be good if you can buy/download a book on that. Additionally, you might also want to get one that has exercises or discs. They're the cream of the crop.
