so, are you are saying that you see that peers are available, but you can't connect to them? if so, it's probably a port forwarding issue.

No I have upnp enabled and I see the port in the unpnp list. I have mcafee on Maverick and I have a rule set to open the correct ports. I have a green light in uTorrent. I had a green light when I was using Transmission. I had a green smiley in Vuze when it was installed. I can DL and UL while Downloading. And I can even seed any torrent that I DL. But as far as the music files I have done in Garageband and attempt to UL... I have occasional Peers connecting and successfully downloading, but I always have a constant number of Peers that rarely changes. Some torrents have peers mostly in DHT of around 20 or 30 and only occasionally do I connect with a peer to upload. Are these DHT nodes for addressing?

I have correct trackers. I can't think of anything else than perhaps the peers are some type of addressing nodes.
