if your ratio is >1.2, you have to either login or register torrent activity once every 90 days. otherwise they prune your account.

they also now have an option to 'park' your account if you know you're going to be inactive for a while.

I've only tangentially heard about private trackers- didn't realize some "interview" or test you to get in. I know I did search what I could of public torrents for those films, anyway.

i don't really know about testing or interviewing. some might do that, but CG is a pretty laidback and cool place. since it is a community that has a fixed size (approx 20,000), they have to set up rules to prune accounts. otherwise, it would end "full" of abandoned accounts and be a ghost town despite being 'full'. 

and if you always seed something, which is trivially easy these days (there are three featured/'free' (ie no impact to ratio) torrents on the home page at all times, some of which are tiny pdfs, etc), you will never be seen as having abandoned your account.

Sounds about right. I probably didn't go there for many years and had to delete all my old torrents for space reasons, so I definitely had zero activity for a long time.
