I just wanted to say as now is a good time, when I used to be on Demonoid about nearly 1 year ago since it went down, I had made a couple of very large music collections. It was such a lot of effort to make and it really did test my skills in trying to make these work properly. A bit of a shame that Demonoid did go down though, it's actually back again but I'm not all that impressed now. It seems that they have tried to recreate Demonoid without the original owner's coding skills and made like a clone attempt or something along those lines. I have always been very fond of music for many years of my life. It reached the point about 10 years ago that I wanted to make a couple of very large music collections. I did the Now series and I managed to put that together and tag it all. It was a huge job, took a long time to get all the tracks right. It is still going the series but I think I have since given up with it now it was just too much messing around. I did between 1 and 100 but to be honest once Demonoid went bust after a couple of months of finishing the collection ranging from 1 to 100 I decided not to carry on with it.
I also made a very large music collection for lots of really strange bands and things all Rock music from the 70's and some before and also lots afterwards. I know there is some really great skills in all that kind of artistry. Progressive and German Kraut rock and also all kinds of unusual types of albums and things. To make this one I really did take a lot of time, I had to get all these albums and encode them all from Lossless sources and that in total took me about 14 months to produce. I did them in parts first but when I'd finished the whole thing I put them together into one big torrent because Demonoid used to be able to handle that amount of music all in 1 big torrent and that is what Demonoid was very good for. I think if you want to be sensible then the limit for TPB is about 1000 files if I'm honest. I don't think it's possible to have over that amount, about 1000 files and anymore and it will simply just reject the torrent file upon uploading.
I had to experiment for some time to originally work all that out, it took a few attempts. The whole thing with these 2 collections was that it was a lot of effort. Some from the Now series I had to get them produced so that you could recreate what kind of a CD experience you would have listened to if an actual CD version did exist. They were very carefully produced by this guy who was able to get all the exact mixes like 7 inch mixes and turn them into a digital source which could be used for digital conversion rather than analogue sources instead. Both the collections I made, they still do exist on the Limetorrents.info site. Here are the links:

They both really did take me ages to make these as the Now series from 1 to 100 is probably the biggest Pop music collection in the world I would have thought, quite a large number of tracks. The series is the UK version which was the 1st one to start it off. The Progressive Rock collection I made, I just gathered loads of albums that I could from some interesting places and sorted them all out. I'm just glad that at least now Limetorrents.info still has the torrents there so at least they aren't dead. Some of the Prog one a lot of stuff is like Art Rock or like Avant-garde music where they get all weird on their instruments and make lots of strange and interesting songs that seems to go from one thing to another.
I doubt I will be making anything like this again really they were just both so huge. The Now series I have heard the latest releases and they are okay but nothing all that great I think the series did go off a bit when it reached 100. I did think it was super cool with Demonoid how you could simply upload something that contained a serious amount of music files like that, I'm not sure if KAT could do anything like that maybe so I was never really much of a KAT user.
I could have imagined though the sheer size of these 2 collections if I had done them in FLAC or Lossless quality, at least though with good sounding MP3 you can still get to hear the music but without maxing out all your HDD capacity.
I hope these collections will be able to live a bit longer yet, I'm not sure at the moment, I have a bit of doubt for them really. I did do quite a nice description for them over at Demonoid before it went, I've always had them seeding for ages now. I could have put these in the 'Promote your Shares' thread but that for me is more related to Movie releases so I wouldn't want to share these in that same thread so sorry about that I don't know where else to put them.
These are the only 2 torrents that I have that aren't on TPB and like I said it would be impossible to upload to TPB and no I never wanted to break them down into bits I just wanted the whole thing in one torrent where you could access the whole lot.
They are both seeding, they should download without any problems. The magnets on Limetorrents seem to work very well I've been in a habit of getting things from there just recently when TPB has been down and has been unable to access the https server.
