Privacy in chrome

So i've been hearing alot about how google tracks everyones history in chrome, especially if your signed in, so as im on sites i dont want people to know about alot, how do i make myself private? Is there a certain browser and how do i use it?

depends on what sort of privacy you want. if you want to simply browse with chrome in private, just use incognito mode. you aren't logged into Google in that mode (unless you log in) so there is no search history or any other history kept. no form data is kept and cookies are disposed of when you close the window. personally i wouldn't recommend ever signing into any web browser, now or ever in the future.

if you want anonymity to the point that your ISP does not know what sites you are visiting, try Tor. it is usually slow and not good for any downloads. then there are other privacy solutions like a virtual private network.

Try Iron, it's Chrome without the Google things in it...

Iron seems good, but is it legit? I don't have any kind of experience with that browser.
