We were talking the other day about unintentionally hilarious movies that weren't riffed, but should be, and I brought up Mike Nesmith's masterpiece, Repo Man. That lead to us trying to find the "TV Edit" version (with the cleaned up language, MelonFarmers!). That movie, with the redubbed edits, was a go-to for laughs back in my vhs days (I taped it off of A&E!), and the vhs holds a spot of honour with my VHS MST3Ks. That said, I'm currently VCRless, and was wondering if anyone had the cleaned up, A&E edit as a digital file. All my online searching has turned up is the original dub.
BTW, the soundtrack for this movie kicks butt, if you're into old school punk

I'm kinda surprised we havent seen Repo Chick from Rifftrax yet, Alex Cox has made a few good movies but he has made some REALLY bad ones as well
Also not sure if the A&E version specifically has any unique edits, but the new Criterion Collection 4K release is advertising a "cleaned up television version" of the movie as a special feature

Btw, they should FILMS on A&E? The channel that does like Intervention and Hoarders and stuff?

A&E has been all over the place. I think they started out showing stuff like opera, eventually got into more mainstream entertainment, transitioned to a lot of Biography, and finally into whatever the hell it is they are these days.

Not to hijack the thread for a sec but since we' ARE talking hilarious tv edits.............does anyone have the clean cut of Snakes on a Plane?!?! Because I've had it with these monkey fightin' snakes on this Monday to Friday plane!!
