Show of hands: how many of you still like to play modem multiplayer?
I used to love those, especially with Duke Nukem 3D, Warcraft II, and StarCraft Brood War.

I used to play Doom and Command & Conquer against my brother through modems. UTP networks were quite expensive early 90's but my parents did have a Homevox unit. Hours and hours of play with no extra costs. The only downside to it was, when grandma called: game over!
