Strange isse with my torrent client

Hi,

I'm using Deluge ( V 1.3.12) as my torrent client for around the past two years, which works absolutely flawless.
One thing that I noticed is that every time I add a torrent, the client does not come to the foreground - it stays in the background, while the browser and other windows stay in the foreground. I then have to collapse browser and windows in order to click on OK for the torrent to be finally added. I know that not many people use Deluge, but maybe someone else noticed this as well or may have a suggestion of what I could try to solve this problem?

It sounds like "always on top"
Not sure.


Try to check the settings of your deluge.
Edit --> Preferences --> Interface

On the "Main Window",
Make sure you have a checkmark for "Focus window when adding torrent".

And on the "Add Torrent Dialog".
Make sure you have a checkmark for "Always show" and "Bring the dialog to focus".

Or maybe your other applications, such as the browser is configured "always on top".

I've just checked my settings ...

• I then removed those green checkmarks,
  
• clicked ok,
  
• added some torrents (ebooks),
  
• opened Preferences again,
  
• set the checkmarks back (like on the picture),
  
• clicked ok,
  
• closed and reopened Deluge,
  
• added some torrents, but ..
  

.. still have the same problem.
And neither the browser (FireFox Nightly) nor Wndows Explorer are set to be "always on top".

Really strange issue.
It seems there was a problem with GTK-UI deluge.

You said deluge is worked flawlessly.
So, you got this problem since first using deluge?

I do not know.
If you use the deluge around past two years, should not the version 1.3.12, but a previous version (1.3.11 or previous), because version 1.3.12 release on Sept. 13, 2015.

Maybe you want to try the latest version for windows (1.3.12-1 release on Sept. 19, 2015)

Have installed that version just now but still the same problem.

By the way, have just noticed, that the Deluge forum is online (it was offline a while ago).
Will register and see if someone there knows a solution maybe. If I know more, I'll let you know.
