What's your favorite from these giants, and what publisher not inculded you think deserved to sell more?

Do people really pay attention to who published the books they like to read? Do they base their decisions on what books to read or not read based on who got the contract to bring it to market?
Think quickly about your favorite books and authors. Who published them? No peeking.

Regarding non-fiction / reference books, i think it really matters where it comes from.
Some publishers are known for delivering quality books. In fiction i can't say the same, it really counts who authored it. |
