VHS to DVD

Hi Guys, I'd a lot of VHS tapes, but my old VHS camera was stolen aka "Privatization".
I still have my VHS recorder, but I need to burn all these on DVD. I looked on youtube, and there is a usb EZ cap. I phoned everywhere in my country, but couldn't get it and a very good salesman convinced me to bought USB TV capture gadget for NAM$ 800.00 (+- US$ 80.00) lol...it seems that it doesn't work !!! The software that was suggested is Roxio VHS to DVD, but I couldn't find it and it seems that it is not compatible with WIN 8. Any suggestions and help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Roxio is definitely compatible with windows 8 last time I checked, unless it worked on my computer for some unknown reason. I know Roxio is the best for this conversion.

Thanks "Beer_Money".... I can get hold of Roxio Creator Pro 2012 (compatible with Win 8.1) do you think I must buy and what is your opinion ? will it works ? Thanks Beer !!!!

It works on a new Dell XPS 8700 but there might be compatibility issues(?) so if possible I would get a trial or pirated version before you buy it to make sure it works, this software isn't that common so I would show support for Roxio if it does work on your computer!
