Webcam software that shuts off light?

I had a program once that could turn the LED on or off via software. I want to set up my computer to record to see if anyone at my apartment is using it that shouldn't be (roommate) but if the light's on it'll be obvious. I know tape works, that's not what I'm asking and I'm not asking about cutting the wire either. Or markers, etc. I'm trying to remember the software and am curious if any of you know.
