Supporters of a British pro-Palestine priest face a week-long Church of England tribunal in London for his views on Israel.
The 68-year-old Reverend Stephen Sizer is a retired Anglican vicar, known for his opposition to Christian Zionism, a belief among some Christians that the establishment of Israel in 1948 was in accordance with Biblical prophecy.
He is facing 11 instances of alleged antisemitism, as outlined last week at the opening of a Church disciplinary hearing – the first of its kind to be held in public.
He has denied the allegations or the claim that he is any way antisemitic.
