#1
Hey guys!

I have been having some issues with my usb and that at times, it won't eject by clicking on the usb icon. I have heard that I might have to use some software. Can someone recommend me some softwares for this?

As far as i know, there no need software to eject usb device (flash drive or external hdd).
The safest way (in windows) like as you describe, clicking usb tray icon and then click eject.

If you can't do that way, i guess your windows infected by malware/virus. (this guess based on experience with my friend laptop).

Try this, hits windows key + E, after windows explorer/file explorer open, right click your usb drive icon then select eject.

If the above method doesn't work, force pulling the USB drive from the USB port can also be doing. of course, make sure your USB drive is not currently accessed by your windows, like closing all program including windows explorer before you unplug USB drive.

The last safest way is turn off your PC before unplug your USB Drive.

Maybe other user have better suggestions for this problem? (sorry for limitation of my experience on this)

If a program is using the drive you might have to kill it through task manager, otherwise try doing what theSEMAR suggested.
