how can i put windows on a mac?

technically, you don't need it. your mac comes equipped with software for running windows known as 'bootcamp'. you can find out more about it here: https://www.apple.com/support/bootcamp

but, parallels is better imo since it will allow you to run windows in a virtual environment within osx.

It depends, are you trying to install Windows from an existing PC or are you installing Windows from something you downloaded?

It's basically a PC, so of course there's pop-ups. Get a good ad/malware/virus blocker and install it in Windows.
