Live chat isn't down, it cannot ever go down (unless there are multiple server failures in multiple different countries simultaneously, affecting not just TPB but the entire IRC network; which is so unlikely as to be effectively impossible).

A given web irc platform may go down though. Find another. Or, better yet, get an IRC app and connect directly.

As for the site resetting passwords--it hasn't, as has been explained in reply to the duplicate post in your Account Issues thread, which is where forgetting your password issues are rightfully addressed.
