problems with Illustrator 5.1 Premiere 5.5 and some other Adobe products
#1
Hello everybody

Sometime ago I downloaded Illustrator 5.1 and Premiere 5.5 and when I tried to install them I found a weird problem with both of them that I never had with any other Adobe program.

Both worked great with the included serials, no problems, they just asked for an Adobe ID and knowing how it works I skipped these steps for later.

The issue began when I reboot the machine to test both again. I found that all related icons with all applications whose were installed were lost and of course when I tried to run them none of them were found (exe files were there but as a plain archives... no logo... no tnothing)

I uninstalled them with Youruninstaller but I found that the uninstallation also erased a previous installation of Photoshop 5.5 that have been working prefectly since years ago and another installation of Acrobat.

After some moments of swear in all languages I know I tried to install again both problematic applications and I found the same response both worked well before rebooting the machine but I found same losts after reboot.

After some other kinds of oaths, I decided to try the dll option but didn´t worked as well so another unistallation and a full cleaning with CCleaner.

As any path I chose didn´t work I tried the Adobe Tools to fix the hosts file trying to find some problems on it but all was OK. But I found another problem, this program (AT) seems don´t find any Adobe program to patch so it can´t help me also.

Does anyone bring me back some happyness to my life telling me how can I do to install those programs and keep them alive after a system reboot?

Thanks for all help you can give

ps: on successives tries the program send me the fallowing message "Adobe application manager is needed to resolve this problem. However it is missig or damaged. Please download..." ... I tried to install Application Manager but I found the same error after reboot AM also lost its icon

You must have a lot of crap on your computer. I suggest running ccleaner first and use the registry cleaner tool + disk cleanup. Reboot then download Adobe reader, because that comes with the application manager. Then install both CS5 products and see what happens!

Thnx for the reply Beer_Money

I think the problem is related with a problematic windows7 actualization (MS14-045)

I found in several forums that this actualization may induce some problems on PC and I notice that only one of the two problematic updates is installed the other may be is the reason of a continous message when reboot the machine (you know... do not turn off the machine... installing progress... on the blue screen) and possibly the reason of the irritating message "windows NT6.1 reboots for reset of 7reset in 55 seconds" (I´ve solved this problem by installing the new version of hack7 5.2 one year ago... but now I can´t resolve it)

I think is the principal cause on these adobe´s programs error (the problem appeared one or two days before I noticed the problem with windows NT6.1 reboot) but this error is generic because affects to all program I installed after to try to repair the error (windows uninstaller, adobe flash and reader, etc...)

The problem now is I can´t fix or unistall the update and I can´t stop the progress of the other update that remains updating continually

Does anyone have a similar problem or know how to solve the 7reset error?

or, is there any realy good activator for win7 pro without installer?
