RE: Access forbidden 403 - Spud17 - Jan 26, 2021 * Spud17 passes RodneyYouPlonker some tea and paragraphs. strum - when you first posted your query, there was a glitch on TPB whereby top 100 results were all from 2004 - 2008, although this issue has since been fixed. Winston (the TPB admin) altered the site just over a year ago and so the font is smaller and there are now 50 results on each page instead of 30. Most of the proxies however still show the old 30 results per page. The official TPB domain is always listed at the bottom of any forum page, so it's worth checking from time to time if you're not a regular site user. All the proxies/mirror sites have nothing to do with the real TPB. Some are alright and I use a couple of them for browsing myself. Some however, are very slow to catch up with the real TPB servers and can display floods of fakes that were removed from the real TPB days and even weeks before. You only really need to use the official site if you want to log in to upload (if you have an account of course), otherwise it's ok to carry on using a proxy for browsing + downloading - although it's best to find a good clean one that is ad-free and doesn't have those stupid annoying ads covering the magnet links. Several of the proxies on your list initially show you lists of torrents but then flash you a huge ad saying you must use a VPN blah blah blah. Don't use those kinds of proxies, as their main agenda is to push you into buying a VPN. Hope that answers your queries. |
