RE: Error - Upload error4 - asterastrip - Mar 13, 2014 Chaps, there are torrents with description in the recent torrents. Here's one upped after FLiCKSiCK's Jeune & Jolie The.Wolf.of.Wall.Street.2013.1080p.BluRay.X264-AMIABLE [PublicHD RE: Error - Upload error4 - NIK - Mar 13, 2014 Exactly. But that is what makes the situation so difficult (for uploaders AND staff). I was experimenting with frostyon420's torrent, trying to find the cutoff point, and it changed even while I was investigating. ie. sometimes I could upload the torrent with a sizable description but when I deleted it and attempted to reupload (to double-check) it wasn't accepted. If I was an uploader at this time, rather than waste my time hoping that I would get lucky and TPB would work the way it should, I would simply make it my habit to omit descriptions and add them as comments. AFAIK that will work every time. Just saying... RE: Error - Upload error4 - frostyon420 - Mar 14, 2014 (Mar 13, 2014, 18:29 pm)NIK Wrote: Exactly. Now its late i already ul it on several places, next time Ill think in advance. But I think that TPB crew should solve this, lot of smaller and not so important sites dont have this problem... This is the problem, that is why other trackers have bigger allowed .torrent files. Today sizes of data have increased from the times when it was not a problem. For example, Bluray disks with movies are up to 50 Gb. Imagine that someone wanted to upload several series of such movie. Modern games collections (with CD and DVD images) already have sizes in several hundreds of Gb and it's not so far for Tbs shares. Today reasonable limit for .torrents is 10 times more than current 200 Kb. To split a share in 10-20 and more parts is not comfortable neither for uploaders nor for downloaders. According to FAQ there is no limit, just a randomness. The site may allow or not any .torrent file. Up to 300 Kb should be admissible, as there are close in size recent .torrents. While technically up to 1.5 Mb .torrents are seen here. RE: Error - Upload error4 - CrAGRG - Feb 24, 2015 I'm getting the same error Torrent contains only 3 files. I'm also posting simple description.. Torrent. files is also not so large File SIZE: 7.95 GB Please Help RE: Error - Upload error4 - demonS - Feb 24, 2015 I saw this error on an upload the other day, i had a small description, small file size but my Title exceeded 64 char, reducing it allowed the upload to go through, try reducing the title and see if that helps, not promising it will be your solution but give it a try RE: Error - Upload error4 - CrAGRG - Feb 24, 2015 Well Thanks A Lot demonS it helped.. Now uploaded! Awesome RE: Error - Upload error4 - demonS - Feb 24, 2015 Your welcome glad it helped RE: Error - Upload error4 - keeybee - Feb 28, 2015 Glad you are back! I have a problem with uploading some torrents. When PB came back after the raid I checked through all my torrents and noticed that there were a couple were the files in the torrent had got messed up so they didn't work. So I deleted them and intended to re-upload working ones. That has not worked with some torrents. I know that the hash number is important so the same torrent can't be ul twice. But by changing some little detail in torrent name or description a new hash will be created. Still I get "Error - Upload error4" trying to ul. They are normal Flac torrents - 1 CD - and a short torrent description. (CD title and track list). You'll find an example of my description here: __FLAC]https://uploadbay.org/torrent/11706021/Carly_Simon_-_Anthology_(2_CD)_[2002]__FLAC That one worked and that is for a double CD so one CD is of course shorter than this description. I've also had the same error trying to ul new (for me new) torrents. The description is not to big. The size of the file is 4,36 GB, a film ready to burn. Never had any problems with that before. I've changed the filename and shortened it but it doesn't help. In my latest attempt the filename is 62 characters (Bridget Jones The Edge of Reason [2004] Eng,Nord,Ísl sub DVDR). Any suggestions that might help? Once again: Welcome back! |
