What's the best music production software for windows? - Kimmbrown - Oct 25, 2019 I'm looking for a free or cheap starter software that comes with a least some rudimentary virtual instruments. I don't have a mac, otherwise I'd play around with garage band. What would people suggest? Here are some suggestions I've found from my research so far: - FL Studio - Traction (latest seems to be T7) - Ableton Live - LMMS Thanks in advance for the help! RE: What's the best music production software for windows? - theSEMAR - Oct 25, 2019 Sony ACID Pro (now it is only "ACID Pro") Paid software, but you will get some of them for free by searching at TPB. I can't give example link for you because right now TPB unaccessible for me. I have a litle experience with cracked Sony ACID Pro 7. This software runs well on windows 7. But it must be noted that, you must be offline when installing or when running it. If you toss a good firewall on it (with logging) you might be able to see what IP it is trying to access, and block it in your *real* hosts file, and install normally. That should also take care of those nasty 'updates'. RE: What's the best music production software for windows? - RobertX - Oct 27, 2019 I don't know if it's 100%, but it seems that once I set Virtualbox to host-only mode, the guest operating system doesn't load web pages, and instead, can look only at the host handler. Can someone verify this? RE: What's the best music production software for windows? - waregim - Oct 28, 2019 Yes, I do remember that the defaults on VB are set to no net connections. At least on the earlier versions. |
