Star Wars Rise of Sky-walker - firetomysoul - Jan 03, 2020 Can't wait for the Rifftrax. But we won't get the BluRay till the end of March (ISH). How long do you think it will take for the guys to drop the Rifftrax? And those who have seen it what would you give it out of 10. I would give it 9/10 as far as star wars movies are concerned. RE: Star Wars Rise of Sky-walker - evilmojo - Jan 04, 2020 I'd give it a 4 or 5. Some great action sequences stitched together with a thread of stupid. There are plenty of ridiculous things to riff off of, but the riffs might have the same problem the movie has: there's no room to breath. RE: Star Wars Rise of Sky-walker - airenman - Jan 04, 2020 A 3 or 4. Lots of action, but they crammed too much together and tried to hard to connect it all ~ and it ended up feeling forced(no pun intended). I will say it will give fanboys years worth of things to argue about, so that might be enough to make it worthwhile. As for a riff? I definitely think it can be done, but they'll have to work on timing things since everything goes by so quickly. RE: Star Wars Rise of Sky-walker - evilmojo - Jan 04, 2020 I'm a huge fan of Star Trek (2009). And I loved Super-8! (That's a sorta pre-Stranger Things, but better and more honest about its influences.) But. Previously on Force Awakens... J.J. Abrams: We'll make another Death Star... but bigger with trees! And now with Skywalker Rises: J.J. Abrams: MORE mini-Death Stars! More and more! Hundreds! And let's keep announcing when they'll launch! Because two of them would be a bigger threat than in any previous movie. But now there are bunches! And I know Abrams is in love with the ship arising from water like he did the Enterprise. But was that a consideration for the... (I'm assuming anyone reading this has seen the movie. If not... forget Spoiler Space, why are you reading this?) Reveal of the Final Fleet.... WHY THE F*&* WAS IT NECESSARY FOR THEM TO BE IN WATER? Except for Star Wars reasons and for JJ to do the Enterprise, but what? A billion times more!!! I'm exhausted by that movie's choices. I'll quote myself to a friend just now: "The Mandalorian! Man, did that show stick its landing. Skywalker was a vomit of pixels." RE: Star Wars Rise of Sky-walker - sciphi - Jan 05, 2020 I thought it was a terrible mess. It felt like a series of fetch quests from an video game stitched together. I'll watch the riff, that can probably salvage it and make it entertaining. It was kind of pretty, but it just jumped around and was kind of stupid. RE: Star Wars Rise of Sky-walker - JetJaguar73 - Jan 05, 2020 It was a fun kid's adventure movie, which is all Star Wars was ever intended to be. That said, The Mando was *great* Star Wars entertainment. I mean, who doesn't love Lone Wolf and Cub!? RE: Star Wars Rise of Sky-walker - Meat Trademark - Jan 05, 2020 "The show is called The Mandorian." -Rich Evans (Nerd Crew) RE: Star Wars Rise of Sky-walker - Cephus - Jan 05, 2020 It's the only way I'll ever see it. It was the only way I managed to sit through Last Jedi. These movies suck.
