So since the renewal period is relative it doesn't matter often you renew it, as long as it is within its six time frame, true or false?

yes you get a warning message to renew win10 about a month before you have to , so sometimes i use KMS then a month earlier than needed, sometimes i go right to the 180day limit

OK, bottom line...

Can I leave the computer off for more than 180 days or do I have to leave it on for the renewal period needed to self-activate? In other words, will the software work no matter how long I leave computer off?

Of course, I wouldn't leave it off for that long, but I just need to be sure.
