How do I make OpenOffice recognise two languages at once? - RobertX - Jun 07, 2022 I've been using OpenOffice for years, but I never had to write in more than one language. I am learning French and Chinese (Mandarin) and I would like to type my notes up on the computer using the software in question. Now, I face a stumbling block: the word processor part treats French words like English words and they would show up with red crooked lines like English spelling mistakes. Is there a way to make OpenOffice to recognise English and French at the same time? P.S. I don't want to use Microsoft Office. EDIT: It turns out, there isn't a way to acknowledge three languages at the same time. I had to download the French dictionary, add it to AOO's arsenal, and pick the one for the time that I need to spell in a language. For more, just contact me and I'll sort it for you.
