I use qbittorrent. No adware etc., Stable.
I particularly like the --configuration option, which allows one to run multiple instances.
Is qBittorrent Safe to Use? <- good write up.
As of the latest v 4.4.5, they seem to be providing 2 binaries. :-(
You can probably go with the 1.2.x series, for safety
Other options are Picotorrent and BitComet
Pico is tiny. BitComet is BIG (C++) but stable and feature rich.

There are still some who use the last 'good' utorrent. (ver 2.2.1 build 25302).
