150,000 ebooks - wdmagic - Jun 20, 2023

I have about 150,000 e-books, in multiple formats, I have been collecting since 1996.

The problem is every few years I try to sort and categorize, but procrastination and the sheer numbers cause me to give up,
so I am sure I have some duplicates, and Ive got duplicate folders all over the place. The only folder I really try to keep up is a
magazines folder, and that is mostly because I download the whole series at one time, so its already sorted.

Looking for recommendations on (preferably) software that will actually do some sorting and categorization. If that's possible.
If not I am wondering if I should just post the whole shebang online and let someone else do it and re-post. ( i assume that will take a long time though.
this is only a small portion of my stored data but it is something I want to keep, so any ideas would be great.

Most of my files are lit, txt, pdf. but I do have some in mobi, epub, rtf, doc, and others.

I do have software for finding duplicates (exact data match only) and I can do that before sorting continues. (it will still take some time.)

@wdmagic

I'm a coder and can automate certain tasks. Getting rid of duplicates is easy. I wrote a windows application many years ago specially for this very purpose.
Feel free to share your collection with me and I will see what I can do.
