How would I accomplish this? - ETC1337 - Jun 27, 2014 I have been searching for a while for a way to do this and have not had much luck. Basically I need to control the mouse on multiple computers in a LAN with my computer mouse. I need each computer to have its own mouse cursor and I need to be able to make sure each one is perfectly synced up with one another. Also would be very helpful to have a quick disable button so I can use one of the cursors individually. Here is a diagram to help explain what I need. Thanks RE: How would I accomplish this? - -nelly- - Jun 27, 2014 Use a KVM switch: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KVM_switch https://www.ebay.com/itm/4-Port-USB-2-0-KVM-Switch-Box-4-sets-VGA-KVM-Cables-For-PC-Feature-Users-Manual-/121369996690?pt=US_KVM_Switches_KVM_Cables&hash=item1c42372d92 RE: How would I accomplish this? - ETC1337 - Jun 27, 2014 Thanks for the reply. A hardware option would be a last resort. I really want software. All of the programs I have come across only feature one cursor which you move to the different screens. I need a cursor for each screen moving with the master pc mouse RE: How would I accomplish this? - SectorVector - Jun 27, 2014 Would it be like "Desktop Mirroring" given here ? https://www.actualtools.com/windowmanager/features/multiple_monitors/ https://www.maxivista.com/monitor-mirroring.htm RE: How would I accomplish this? - ETC1337 - Jun 27, 2014 Thanks for the reply but still not what I need. I don't need a mirror of my desktop. I need them all separate. Not remote desktop or anything like that. plus I think the above programs use only one mouse cursor RE: How would I accomplish this? - SectorVector - Jun 27, 2014 ETC1337, I confess I do not understand the requirement. :-) Maybe someone here understands. Could you elaborate ? Perhaps a usage scenario ? Call the PCs M (master), A,B,C etc. RE: How would I accomplish this? - -nelly- - Jun 27, 2014 ShareMouse is a KVM alternative. Download ShareMouse portable from HERE. I found it on a file sharing site so can't vouch for it's functionality. VirusTotal gave it a clean bill of health and it ran sandboxed without any isssues. A free alternative (licensed for personal non-commercial use only), which would be the one i'd go for is Input Director. Hope this sorts things out for you RE: How would I accomplish this? - ETC1337 - Jun 27, 2014 Thanks but all these programs do is allow you to drag one mouse from one monitor to the next RE: How would I accomplish this? - ETC1337 - Jun 29, 2014 Looks like I have found a solution. It's called multiboxing when you "broadcast" keyboard/mouse imputs. Looks like synergy(with modification) and Multibox can be used to do this. Here is a guy "multiboxing" to the extreme to play multiple EVE accounts lol https://sites.google.com/site/khromtor/ |
