When I go to this torrent:

or this one:
https://thepiratebay.ee/torrent/10466483/
and click on the download button I get a popup telling me to send a text message to get a password to a torrent file.
What is this and how does it work?

Its probably some sort of phising or a scam as thats not the real piratebay.

I really din know about this and I sent text msg also and got reply by saying that " thanks for using our service " .... after all I got to know that this is a scam ... my question is wud it create any problem as I sent a text msg ?

Quite possibly, seeing as you've submitted your phone number to them.

worst case scenario: you get charged for the txts
