help? how to burn to disc this Nat Geo - Later - Jul 28, 2014

Howdy and plz help if you can.

On TPB is this:

National Geographic EVERY ISSUE From 1888 - 2008! - COMPLETE 8

[easy to find with a search for National Geographic]

rather a large dl, and I finally have it all... a set of bin cue files

Now I've never had a problem with either mounting and\or burning bin-cues, iso's, etc. over the years...

However these will do neither... well I can load into Alcohol 120% but cannot then explore the image... nor will it burn to a disc.
I find no info in the nfo about how to use these.

So plz... if YOU have this knowledge, do tell...

Thanks much,
later

The .bin file will contain all the data to; the cue file will help you burn the disc. Make sure you have a pair (i.e. bins and cues) for each video.

If you have ImgBurn (www.imgburn.com), it might help.

Tell me if you have the problem solved.

Thank you RobertX,

I did not have Imgburn, but did go get it. I have instead always used Alcohol 120% but for some unknown reason it will load this bin-cue but will not burn it, nor will it simply mount it well enough to let me run it as a virtual drive. I will have to speak with the developer about that problem.
Imgburn seems to be working OK with this bin-cue, ...waiting to verify the burn and see if the disc is usable. I will report back.
I am familiar with bin-cue images... I've burned many over the last 10 years with no problems... It is only this set that threw me a curve ball and I really don't know why.
I did look at the cue file in a text program and it does seem to be correct.

OK well Imgburn did give me a working proper DVD... thanks to YOU...

So problem solved?

So you do have a working knowledge on CD/DVD images. I'm sorry, that impression did not become apparent. I act like a smartass most of the time. Again, sorry. Smile

But if you're going to talk to the developer... which developer? If you're going to pirate Alcohol 120%, I hope it's not that developer... hehehe, there goes my smartassness again. Tongue

Just kidding. Take care.

I do have a knowledge of disc images... been working with various types for about 15 years really...
No worries about being a smart ass Robert.... more info is always better than less.
fyi, not pirate Alcohol 120%... totally legit... I choose who to support and who to not.. Dodgy. So yeah... have an support email off to him and we'll see what gets said.

Process so far goes like this:
Imgburn cue to DVD... works fine
Once I have the physical DVD, I can use 120% to make it's own format disk image of that and that image mounts as expected, so I can then run it from a virtual drive.

Thanks again for your help with this.... I got it on the run now.Cool
