Some questions about piracy - Ftpmnb - Aug 01, 2014

1. Hey guys. Im Russian and soon me and my family are going to immigrate living in Australia/Canada/New Zealand. We have got 3 PC's, 1 laptop, 4 Android-phones and 1 Android-tablet. All the software installed on this devices is pirated (except free programs, of cource). I know that police or something are allowed to break into my home and check all my devices for piracy, but can they ACTUALLY do that? Or could they do that on the border (between countries)?

2. Ive got many of VLK licenses for Windows XP. Is it legal to to install VLK version of Windows XP to home-PC?

Thanks for answering,

1.Common sense tells me that if you only downloaded in Point A, then moving to Point B doesn't matter.
2.Refer to above.

Have you tried turning it off and on?

How are you going to take all those PCs? Shipping companies?

But in all seriousness, make sure you can even use them in the new world before worrying legality. For example, can you replace the voltage used in Russia with one that is used in Canada.

Other than that, you shouldn't have to worry a thing. Speaking from experience, I've been through Hong Kong and Canada with my movies.
