This Copy of windows is not genuine - asterastrip - Dec 10, 2015

Hello all.

I downloaded and installed THIS version of windows a few years ago and it works great.
The version i installed is windows 7 home premium 64bit sp1

I didn't have to do anything during installation, everything done automatically by whatever type of crack is included in the torrent.

The torrent description mentions "This release has integrated RemoveWAT 2.2.6.0."

I always downloaded the latest windows updates and never had any issues.

Until today when i downloaded the updates and at the bottom right corner of the desktop i got this message.

Here's the list of the latest updates i grabbed

I'm an utter noob, i don't even know how to check if my windows is registered/activated and why i got this message all of a sudden

Apparently i'm not the only one with this issue. Other users had the same problem after today's updates.

Any help chaps?

**EDIT**

in the path C:\Windows\Setup\scripts is located faxcool.exe
I right click and run as admin and i get this message:

**EDIT 2**

I did a system restore and the message is gone now.
Just have to find out which update caused it so as not to download it again

Restore the WAT, Then use the Microsoft Toolkit to activate it.

Removing the WAT will cause nothing but a headake.

I've been running this versions for years and it works great, never had any issues with it.
It's one of the updates in microsoft's last batch.
If anyone here uses win7 and installed the last updates please post here if you did or didn't have any issues after updating.

I installed some of them and the authenticity message didn't return.
Here's the remaining ones to be installed, it's one of them causing it. I just need to know which one and block it.

KB3109094  <-- This is the update which caused the issue.

If anyone else has the same problem as me, do a system restore, hide the problematic update and install the rest.

RE: This Copy of windows is not genuine - RobertX - Dec 24, 2015

I thought the problematic update was KB971033.

RE: This Copy of windows is not genuine - Q91 - Dec 25, 2015

I havent blocked any updates (other than Windows 10 Tongue), and I used Daz Loader to activate my Windows, and I havent gotten any "not genuine" messages in ages.

Edit: My key is legit, but after reinstalling Windows 3 times (havent reinstalled since 2011 mind you!), I cant be arsed to phone in...

RE: This Copy of windows is not genuine - RobertX - Apr 20, 2016

I just had this problem.

The OnlyBytheRain's WIndows 7 torrents have this update built in.

I wiped, and reinstalled only to find this update still in the system.

I immediately uninstalled it.

Is this a correct measure?
