trusted torrents questions - nok32 - Nov 28, 2016

Hey, this is confusing me after years of trouble-free torrenting.. is it still possible to rely on VIP/trusted torrenters? The comments on, for example, the following software torrents are almost 50/50 for whether it is clean or infected--

https://thepiratebay.org/torrent/12019334/Adobe_Photoshop_CC_2015_(20150529.r.88)_(32_64Bit)___Crack
or
https://thepiratebay.org/torrent/12499831/MICROSOFT_Office_PRO_Plus_2016_v16.0.4266.1003_RTM___Activator

Hard to scan for myself and see on such large packages. I am wondering if Adobe, MS, et al are paying for false comments at torrenting sites or using clever bots or is it the untrustworthy (but still green/pink skull) uploaders?

Also, the "Report Torrents" forum has nothing in it, for me.. maybe because I am a new user.. so I am here trying to check on these torrents. Thanks in advance for clarifying these issues for me..

Well, if you ask me, if you're in The Pirate Bay, you should be prepared to take some risks.

That being said, I would trust VIPs and Trusted Uploaders.

It has never been possible to rely on VIP/trusted torrenters.

Accounts get hacked from time to time. Uploaders (particularly re-uploaders) don't always check everything they upload. Even when they do check sometimes there are new infections which aren't detected. Sometimes uploaders motivations change.

But the chances of being infected by something you download from a Trusted/VIP torrenter are, as they have always been, lower than those of being infected by something you download from a non Trusted/VIP torrenter.

I'd have to agree with the previous posters. Trusted uploaders can be trusted about 99% of the time, but even TPB can make a mistake sometimes.

But as far as your 2 uploads go, those are 2 of the hardest and most complicated progams to get to work. So I would read the comments carefully.

It took me many tries to get photoshop to work. A different version than yours, but still. It wasn't easy.

I wouldn't blame the uploaders just yet.

Thanks, for the replies. Usually I don't consider anything without a skull and then I evaluate the comments as to whether the poster seems like they know what they're doing. It is true that 99+% of the time VIP torrents have been clean, for me. This might actually be the first time I have hesitated. Usually, there are the random comments saying a keygen is a trojan etc, which can obviously be ignored. I am still undecided if I should try out these specific torrents or find a more reliable version.

I forgot about getting Adobe from ProDesignTools. Much safer, seems to me. Also, the new MS Office adds nothing for me and the trial d/l of 2013 is still available on the MS site. Got those, so now I just have to ensure I get a clean version of KMS and whatever Adobe hack people use nowadays.
