Cannot Comment

Is it possible to implement SSO for TPB?  Yes, but then you have a single point of failure again, and the different TLDs would no longer be able to function on their own.

Thanks for the explanation.

I'm wondering why you didn't search before posting as there is already a thread dealing with this issue.

Hi,

I want to apologize ahead of time if I've posted this in the wrong section, or should have posted it under a different thread, or if it's a total noob question in general. Please feel free to correct me if I have done so and/or move this thread to the correct location.

I seem to be having a problem posting comments. After years of using TPB, I decided that I should start to contribute to the comments section of each torrent I download, because comments have always been what I have relied on to know whether or not a torrent is legit, or how to use the torrent if I'm having problems with it.

I just created an account for the first time, did the confirmation e-mail and all that. However, I have no option to post a comment anywhere. I see other people's comments. I click "login" at the bottom of the page and login, and it takes me to my Account Settings page. Then I browse to the torrent I want to comment on, and for some reason, I notice at the bottom of the page that the "Logout" button has changed to "Login" again. Clicking on "Login" simply takes me right back to my Account Settings page.

I looked everywhere for an answer to this conundrum and I apologize again if it is posted somewhere and I have missed it. I'm wondering if it's because I just created the account within the past hour, or maybe because according to TPB I don't have any "active torrents"?

Thanks for your help in advance!

Could be due to caching. Try refreshing the torrent page on which you want to comment. (Press F5)

Users without torrents can certainly write comments.

We have multiple domains (currently .gd, .la, .mn and .vg) and the load balancer sometimes switches you between them. But you are only logged in to the domain(s) you logged in to.

if you leave your browser session open for days at a time, you could simply log into each domain and then you should be able to comment no matter which url you end up on.

Alternatively, just remember which domain you log in to and, when you get switched, and you want to post a comment, manually edit the URL in the address bar and load the version of the page from the domain you are logged in to. The write comment link will then be available to you.

Assume I search for a Torrent on

thepiratebay.mn

and found one.

Below the torrent link there are a couple of comments.

However I did not found an "Add comment" button.

Yes, I have a PirBay account.
When I click on "login" link at the bottom I am prompted to enter a new password.
Why?

When I enter a new password I am redirected back to the original page I there is still no "add comment" button.

How else can I add a comment below a torrent?

Matt

Hello,
I've not problem login to TPB (to the main page) but as soon as I perform a search of a file and reach the page of one of the torrents listed for my search, I'm logout and I can't login on this page.
What I'd like to do is being able to post comments (to warn about fakes) on this page and/or be able to press some button to automaticaly mark this torrent as a fake.
It was possible some time ago (may be 1 year ?) but not anymore.
I've tried with Firefox 43 and IE 11 but it's the same.
It is normal ?
Have you cancelled the possibility to write comments on a torrent's page ?

No, perhaps if you read and searched the forum first, you would know there is already a thread for this.

The report button was removed because it was *****d to hell. See our Report Torrents/Comments forum.
