DVDFab has everything all in one and offers different formats to convert to.

However I use RipBot264 with AnyDVD to do BluRay's that has the option depending on how old the movie is can be done in FLAC. However you need AnyDVD for RipBot for the copy protection.

I don't rip DVDs anymore since I'd be waiting forever for it to finish.

But when I did, I used Handbrake: www.handbrake.fr.

EDIT: If you're ripping commercial DVDs, make sure you have a decrypter program like AnyDVD or a decrypter library like libdvcss, something that will play watchdog while the protections try to make your ripping experiences a living hell.

Hope this helps.

Robert X....Thanks alot it does. I am in the same quandry...Takes forever to do one DVD....I might not bother anymore. I got some old pron DVD's that I wanted to make digital but DVDFab takes forever to do a movie.

The only I see using DVDFab is that it takes forever. I may have to rethink my idea cause I don't have forever and a day to rip all of my DVD's and accurately categorize them.

Thanks anyways

Why in beelzebobo's name would anyone convert video audio to FLAC?
It's wrong wrong wrong, just don't.
srsly.

Back to topic: DVDDecrypter/DVDFab, Handbrake (MeGui for experienced), patience.
If it's taking forever try boosting the number of *****u threads you use. If you're using a single core, set it off at night and it should be ready when you wake.. one a night and you'll be finished in no time.

Yes taking forever is related to your computer. Has nothing really to do with the software. MultiThreading would help out. Usually takes me about 3 or so hours on a BluRay and I just run it when I sleep.
