Love your posts, but some of them seem to be in limbo, and the one I especially wanted to see was the Death Valley Days, Emperor Norton episode. Any chance you you re-post it?
Thanks,
Thanks,

14 years into his long acting career and months before he was hired for the second Star Trek pilot, this was William Shatner's first TV series. He played an Assistant D.A. of a large city named David Koster, and Jessica Walter appeared as his violinist wife Phyllis. Other regulars included Howard DaSilva as the D.A. and Lonny Chapman as Frank Malloy. Producer Herbert Brodkin had much more success in that era with his other series "The Defenders". Note : As with most everything I've uploaded here, this is from You Tube or DailyMotion. I also don't seed these shows for more than the first 20 hours. So if it isn't seeded by the time you open these torrents that's where to go!

This is the first episode of This is Tom Jones... from February 1969. Tom's first guest stars include Richard Pryor, The Moody Blues, singer Mary Hopkin, and Peter Sellers. At 35 minutes' running time this version is edited, with guest Joey Heatherton's segment(s) missing. Maybe Jones and the DVD distributors were unable to get the rights to her songs.

This 1970 show opened the 3rd Season. Tom's guests are Anne Bancroft, Burt Bacharach, and the return of the comedy group The Ace Trucking Company, which featured Fred Willard, Bill Saluga ( as fast-talking Raymond J. Johnson ), and Patti Deutsch ( later a regular on Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In and Match Game ).

BUNCO was an unsold series pilot in 1977 featuring Tom Selleck before he played rival private investigator Lance White in the final season of "The Rockford Files", and in his fifth TV series Robert Urich. They played police detectives working out of a big-city Bunco squad, so their criminals were mainly con artists, scammers, and various other low-life grifters. As you'd expect from a show like this, it has a bit of humor and the leads worked well together. The guest stars are Donna Mills, Arte Johnson, Will Geer of "The Waltons", Bobby Van, Kenneth Mars, Diana Scarwid, Marlene Clark, Alan Feinstein, and James Hampton.

Here are 2 episodes of The Red Skelton Show from different eras.
The first one from early in the 6th Season in 1955 breaks format, with none of Red's famous characters. Instead the entire show has guest star Peter Lorre hiring Red to teach him comedy. Then they both appear in a sketch that spoofs The Honeymooners the way that Peter would do it ! Then jumping ahead to Season 19 : Two 1970 episodes combined, with Carol Lawrence introducing that week's Silent Spot. The bulk of the show brings back Vincent Price yet again as Red's main guest.

Here's the very first episode of Cher, the comedy-variety series that lasted 2 partial seasons. It was on CBS for most of 1975 after the network had cancelled The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour, and before she reunited with her ex-husband on The Sonny & Cher Show. This looks like a fairly decent, first-generation copy. Cher's guests are Elton John, Flip Wilson, and Bette Midler. |
