So I'm having some serious issues with my Sims 3 Complete download by darkangelgod666 and really want to get this working before my i see my boyfriend tomorrow.... Trying to prove to him im not completely technology inept... I followed the lovely Dummy's Guide posted by Eonek down to the t. It opens properly, hell it even let me know that i have the Sims Future added on. However it is when i open it the problems begin. It takes me to a screen that allows me to click on things but with no response or no options. Including the menu bar and the decision as to which town i start in. In desperate need of some help... this is the first time i've done this... my boyfriend started it, but i brought it home to finish the 7 day download with a better internet connection. i did run ccleaner after the download was over, but was told that wouldnt do anything... please anyone... HELPPPP!!

1.) So...your game starts but is not responding?
Try to delete game cache files:
Go to this location on your PC:
Windows XP = Cocuments and Setings\My DocumentsElectronic ArtsThe Sims 3
Windows 7 = C:Users\DocumentsElectronic ArtsThe Sims 3
Windows 8 = C:Users\My DocumentsElectronic ArtsThe Sims 3
and delete:

CasPartCache.package
compositorCache.package
scriptCache.package
simCompositorCache.package
socialCache.package

These files will be re-generated when you start Launcher or the game.

Also this.

When you updated your game to new version via Launcher make sure you apply right crack...Otherwise you'll see 'blank' options in main menu. Or you can say that, there are no options at all. It
