My Customised GNU/Linux Distros: Is it worth sharing?
#1
I'm thinking of uploading my Linux Mint customised distros to share with the world.

The problem is, my images are about 10GBs and more.

To boot, my Internet connection speed is very shitty, like twenty years in the past shitty.

The reason why my images are so big is that I loaded a lot of programs: Wine, Blender, FreeCAD, Gambas, Libreoffice, and a shitload of games.

It's an all-in-one kind of deal.

Also, added are updates and upgrades from lower distro versions as well as Linux kernel headers.

Yes it's a big one, so that's why I pose the question: would anyone want it?

I'll try.

EDIT: dickhead, my Internet speed is 6MBps, and my images to upload; will Github allow that slow?

Since the start of this thread, my images are now 6GBs. I have eliminated many things that I don't use, but the question remains: can Github accommodate?

Thank you for your links, but what I am afraid of is that the file upload will slow due to my connection and then time out.

It's not personal, I just want to know if uploads for 6-8 GB files are going to cut it for a download.

On that respect, can I upload well on Github? I may have 6Mbps download, but the upload rate is much smaller.

On a good day, I can only even seed double digits on Torrents.

Speaking of good days, I do not mean to attack you, so please don't take my comments too serious.

EDIT: Apologies for my behaviour; I will use my account to upload my stuff.

Cheerios!

What do you plan to upload?

When I anchor my ship and step onto solid ground, I work on a simple HTML website. It perfectly embodies my persona, and I chose GitHub pages mainly because I don't store silver and gold on land, and because of its simplicity.

https://wiby.me/ is a search engine that offers a vast collection of classic websites.
