Working on File Sharing Software Called The OFF Sytem
#1
I have been working on revitalizing and modernizing a slightly older file sharing software that has some wonderful and unique properties. Its called the OFF System. It was initially designed to be completely compliant with or render neutral copyright law (and it is!). However the mechanism by which it accomplishes this makess it capable creating data redundancy and permanence without divulging security and privacy or transferring liability. It has benefits over torrents because the seed don't wither away. Its network traffic cannot be interpreted for meaning and it anonymizes data rather than sharing parties making it a bright net. (It also can host whole web pages) If you're interested you can read more at https://www.off.systems or visit the repo https://github.com/Prometheus-SCN/js-offs  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OFFSystem

I'm close to to being able to release an alpha for testing but the sheer amount of work is starting to become too much for me. If anyone would be interested in testing the network or helping develop the software please reach out to me. It currently programmed in javascript. I'll try to post a video demo a little later in the week.

Sounds interesting, what do you need? I'm just a user with a slow connection and a laptop.

The source is at the github link.

Its in JavaScript, which I am unfamiliar, with no text on how to compile, or operate.

Will someone please provide instructions on how to *use* the source?!
