Most stuff won't work without intervention but you can get scripts that convert V4 poses to G3 and then get another one to convert them to G8. You can get a fit controller script to convert clothing to G3 from V4. So there are converters out there and available that get you 90% plus of the way there. You still have to tinker with it in a lot of cases. Problem is with all the downloads available I tend to spend more time installing stuff and organising my library than creating anything, plus my graphics card is a bit long in the tooth so I find rendering a pain in the proverbial. Hope to become quite an active member here (mainly to pick up tips) Here's one of my better renders so far: RE: Daz 3D/Poser Welcome & Intro Thread - Lady_Kazu - May 27, 2018 Hello, I thought I should introduce myself ! Man this place is interesting! RE: Daz 3D/Poser Welcome & Intro Thread - MasterXL6 - Jun 29, 2018 Same for me, been a couple of years since I used Poser, had a HDD crash and lost everything. Time to see what has evolved since, and put my new i7 to work RE: Daz 3D/Poser Welcome & Intro Thread - rippedup - Jul 08, 2018 I finally have gotten my act together and got an account here. Thanks to all for sharing information and sites. I want to contribute but it seems that nobody uses the actual torrents any more - can i pm files or something to put them up on other sites? RE: Daz 3D/Poser Welcome & Intro Thread - pi_staker - Jul 09, 2018 So is this where everyone ended up? RE: Daz 3D/Poser Welcome & Intro Thread - jon157uk - Jul 21, 2018 Good evening all (well it is at the moment), I'm happy to see some KAT users have found a new home, I thought I'd join you if that's OK. I mainly use DAZ3D but occasionally Poser, which I'm not so keen on. If it's any use to anyone I still have hundreds of torrent files that date back probably 3 or 4 years, a lot of them may well be dead in the water now but having tried a few of them after losing some stuff I was pretty surprised how much of the stuff is still around if you're patient enough to wait. I've also got a whole heap of stuff sitting around on disc too, I'm not saying I'll have everything everyone needs but if you want something in-particular it might be worth asking and I'll search to see if I can help. RE: Daz 3D/Poser Welcome & Intro Thread - Gonz0 - Oct 04, 2018 Hey all , nice site here! Anyone use the new denoiser in daz beta yet, looks awesome !! RE: Daz 3D/Poser Welcome & Intro Thread - bigerny - Jan 05, 2020 I'm just an old fart trying to learn a new trick as a hobby. Daz seemed like a good place to start with animation. |
