Windows 10 help Farcry 4

Hey guys! First thread here. So I just upgraded to windows 10 and my rg mechanics farcry4 wont run, it crashes everytime before getting to the home screen, so i tried running on compability mode for windows8 & windows 7(which i had before) and it wont even run, likenit wont even execute.
Any help ?

Try setting it in compatibility mode Windows 8 and Run as Administrator.

I did try that, and same thing, doesnt even run/execute :/

This probably has something to do with the absence of the temporary/settings files that game engines create during the first launch. These are usually the files that are stored in your Documents, %appdata% and %programdata% folders. In this case, it is highly advised to reinstall the game, because the engine is obviously having difficulty with creating them again. Hope this helps

EDIT: Alternatively, it can be a software-related issue of course, like some kind of disagreement between the game and the OS. In this case, there isn't much we can do.

I had a few problems with pcs upgrading to windows 10 concerning the GPU unit. All were fixed with the following method:

use the ddu unintaller from:

Run it in safe mode. If you don't know how to boot in safe mode run the tool in normal mode and it will restart in safe mode for you.

Clear all traces of your old drivers. Install your card manufacturers driver.

For everyones future reference for Windows 10:

Keep in mind even though Windows 10 has DirectX 12, you still need to manually install Direct X 9.0c.
Check the games install directory for a redist folder if they included one.

You may also need to install VC++ and .NET Framework 3.5.
All should be available on FileHippo or the Microsoft website.
