Best Pokemon Gen?

I do like the first two, but I having seen the rest of them. I guess that makes me a lover of the entire series since I and II repeat... or do they?

I think that Pokemon fits the *****ren's picture as well as any TV show. They teach you to never give up, and that evil will never forever prevail. It is cliched, but effective.

To be truthful, I've only played the Blue/Red/Yellow and Gold/Silver/Crystal games, but they're pretty much the same.

I played up until White/Black Version but stopped halfway through the game. The new ones are terrible in my opinion. I like Pokemon Ruby the best personally, but I feel kind of sick of the games in general.

The new ones are pretty nifty with their customization and interaction but the older gens just have that nostalgia going for them (personally LOVED Sapphire myself )

I don't get every game from each gen (I got VI when V came out and skipped V, just recently got VI), so I feel that a long break from the game helps me enjoy it without getting too sick of em.

Yeah, I didn't play them for a few years until just recently. Every year or two it's fun to play through one of them.
