WHY THE F*&* WAS IT NECESSARY FOR THEM TO BE IN WATER?

Except for Star Wars reasons and for JJ to do the Enterprise, but what?

A billion times more!!!

I'm exhausted by that movie's choices.

It's even worse than that. They weren't underwater... they were underground!
